The Global Road Safety Partnership has launched its new interactive mapping tool on the website.

This interactive map draws on a database of over 11,000 cells and allows you to quickly and easily find information and data of interest. The interactive map features three primary tabs, enabling searching by GRSP Activity, IFRC Engagement or by Global Crash Data from the WHO Global Status Report on Road Safety 2015. Within each tab there are multiple filter options allowing you to customize your search and interrogate the data exactly as you need to.

The Mexican Red Cross is a leading example of a National Society engaged at all levels in road safety: working with relevant ministries and agencies on strengthening legislation and enforcement, with the private sector on key risk factor interventions and through its efforts with volunteer networks and other civil society organizations in communities across Mexico.

The relationship between the Mexican Red Cross and GRSP has also been evolving over a number of years, often partnering at international events to share good practice and encourage other Red Cross Red Crescent National Societies

The Second Global High-Level Conference on Road Safety took place in Brasilia on 18-19 November, 2015. The conference was a unique opportunity to bring together and reinvigorate road safety advocates from around the world, adding further impetus to the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety.

The Conference was attended by more than 2,200 delegates from more than 110 countries, including 70 ministers of transport, health and interior.

In November, governments from across Asia met at the 9th Regional Environmentally Sustainable Transport Forum to discuss and map improved resilience. The Conference was themed ‘Building Safe, Smart, Low-Carbon and Resilient Cities in Asia'.

Rapid motorization across Asia means that most Asian cities face traffic congestion, air pollution and high rates of traffic crashes which affect the economic and social development of the country.

On 18 November the GRSP Viet Nam team, together with partners from the Bac Ninh Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, undertook a monitoring visit to two target schools involved in Safe to School – Safe to Home implementations in the province as part of the Global Road Safety Initiative, supported by Shell, Total and Toyota.

The monitoring team found that significant improvements in road safety education and low-cost infrastructure improvements around the school gates had been achieved by the local implementers.

In November, GRSP and the Fortaleza Prefecture delivered masterclasses to better understand "Risk Factors and Effective Enforcement" for 50 City Municipality Traffic and Citizenship (AMC) traffic agents and 30 Municipal Guards.

Fortaleza is Brazil’s most densely populated city, with 2.5 million people living within 314,930km, and faces a number of road safety challenges.
